Espresso Hand Tamper with Calibrated Spring Loaded Stainless Steel Base

To properly use the MATOW espresso hand tamper, follow these steps:

STEP 1: Grind your coffee beans to the appropriate fineness for your espresso machine. Ensure your portafilter basket is clean and dry.

STEP 2: Distribute the grounds evenly in the portafilter using your preferred method.

STEP 3: Place the tamper on top of the grounds in the portafilter, making sure it is level and centered.

STEP 4: Apply downward pressure on the tamper until the calibrated spring mechanism compresses. Hold the tamper in place for a few seconds to allow the coffee to settle and the puck to form.

STEP 5: Release the tamper and lift it straight up without twisting or tilting. The puck should be smooth and evenly compressed.

STEP 6: Insert the portafilter into the espresso machine and start the extraction process.

The MATOW tamper is designed to improve extraction by applying consistent tamping pressure and even compression to the coffee puck. With a 30lbs spring-loaded mechanism, you can achieve precise and consistent results every time you pull a shot of espresso.
